Meeting 5: November 13, 2006
Present: Ashley, Kristen, Nick "hick", Dan, Matt (came in 5 minutes late)
Location: The Commonplace Coffeehouse
Time: 10:30-11:30am

The four group members met with Dr. Ricketts, and discussed the usage of microfilm, and what we could expect to find when researching. As usual, Matt came in late, and we then discussed what specific years we should be looking in for the information that we were seeking. We learned how to use the microfilm, load, and get the records we needed from the desk. Unfortunately the student helpers were not very helpful at all.

Personal Research

• Looked at the Indiana Penn 1926-1933 Roll. I tried to find more information on Keiths construction, since the dates were supposedly 1927-1931.
• On this roll, there were several articles on Dr. Keith's involvment with the school such as him giving speeches, dedicating other campus buildings and finally his suprise retirement speech given on January 17, 1927. The article then stated that he offically left the school on January 24, 1927 to become the state superintendent of public instruction.
• Dan and Nick found other information that might be useful to me on the microfilm they were viewing, including pictures and blueprints on the following articles and the following information was asked to be digitized to my P-Drive
• March 8, 1938 - March 25, 1939 - March 8, 1941 - October 1, 1939 - May 21, 1941
